The point of this page is to be a general containemnt page for random stuff.
I have spontaneously decided to number my thoughts in the order that I have written them. They are not necessarily related, however.

I suppose this page can be seen as a sort of "log", though I don't view it strictly as such, even if, in practice, it is.

1: It's been a while since I did anything on here, though I have checked the classifieds from time to time, and even posted some stuff there.

2: Of all the waits I have had to do for something before, ONE AND A HALF YEARS for Season 3 of Frieren may be the most challenging, or at least
one of them. It may not be the longest, though.

3: I could spend so much time on this if I was to formulate my thoughts on this subject, but my gosh, is there so much slop out there. I mean in
the wider world, not on here. Maybe it's just me being cranky, but I think there is at least a grain of truth in my statement, even if I am
overstating it. I will try and pick one example that I have recently started to become aware of, and that is modern Nintendo games (I don't
believe this is limited to Nintendo, but I will use them as an example). Now, to be transparent, have I played any recent output in say,
the last year? No. BUT, based off of a bit of footage I have seen of a few games, something is becoming clear to me. Take Pokemon Legends ZA for
example. That game got a fair amount of criticism from what I have heard. One of the main criticisms is the building models, or rather textures
in this case. What I saw reminded me of that one Star Fox game on the WiiU that was considered to be rather bland. Yet, this is the latest game
from the LARGEST media franchise in the world. Now, I know the Pokemon franchise has been criticized a lot for a while now, so this (and
honestly ANYTHING I am saying here) is nothing new. However, at what point do we switch from saying, "Oh yea, they messed up with this release,"
to, "Yea, they have been feeding us low-effort slop for a while now."? Of course, given that I freely acknowledge that I have not played any
of these games, I don't wish to condemn them entirely; there very well may be something worthwile. Also, it is almost certainly the case that
my mindset is "Everything is slop", so that anything that I come across becomes "slop" in my eyes. I guess, if I had to summarize my incoherent
thoughts here, it would be "Everything gives off a *vibe* of slop". I do want to note that I am criticizing the "products" themselves, and not
anyone who partakes of it. I would be a massive hypocrite (and indeed I already am) if I did that.

4: Related to my slop rant, I want to add this sports gambling thing that has been going on for a while. I just detest its existence.

5: As of the time I have written this (29 March 2026), the AUR package 'ladybird-git' refused, and has continued to refuse to build for about
a week now. I tried to open up Ladybird, but nothing happened. At some point, I checked to see if the binary even existed, and it did not! I
have no idea how it just vanished from my system, but, "Ok, I have the time, so I might as well re-build it and get it updated at the same time."
Well, guess what! It won't build because my version of ICU (I had to look up what this package even did) is something like one measly version
too up to date, and Ladybird requires the previous version. Didn't expect THAT, did I? So, I purposefully DOWNGRADE my ICU package to the
"correct" version in the cache, but even after that, there is some NEW error (one which I don't remember now). So I left it, until today, and
it's STILL broken, or actually even more so. The PKGBUILD is looking for a file in a directory that (I guess) no longer exists. "Ok, fine, I
will find the file and manually edit the line in the PKGBUILD to make it work." I do that (and in the process see that the original file no longer
exists even where it looks like it now "should", but there is a very similarly named file there (I think it wanted something like
"generic_compiler_options.cmake", and all there is now is just "compiler_options.cmake")), and guess what? STILL the same ICU version error (I had
since un-downgraded, so "upgraded" my ICU package to the latest version in the hopes that after a week or so, this would get fixed). I'm not going
to chase dead ends, so I am going to have to leave my attempts at updating/re-installing Ladybird for a while now. I suppose that I will wait until
whoever maintains the AUR package can make whatever modifications are necessary. But, until then, I'm left with one less browser at a time where I
would use every browser I can (see the next thought as to why).

6: There is a daily "Wordle" game called "Fire Emblem Wordle" that my friend has shown to me, but, as the only Fire Emblem game that I have
played (almost beat except for the last stage; someone ends up dying and I want to do it with no deaths) is Fates Conquest, most of the game is
unplayable for me. Well, I didn't let that stop me! With absolutely ZERO knowledge of javascript or how a "complex" site works (by complex, I
mean anything that is not simple HTML tags and maybe 10 lines in a CSS file), I downloaded the entire contents of the site, I found the javascript
file that contains the list of all the Fire Emblem games and its list of characters, and then I deleted all the games and characters that are NOT
from Fates, and then I saved the file. I can access my local "Fates Wordle" by hosting it with Python's built-in HTTP server. Now, the reason I
said what I said at the end of #5 is that, before I did all this, I found out that, on the same computer, different browsers (not different
instances of the same browser) will yield different selected games. Using this, I can get THREE Fates Wordles PER DAY, since I have Librewolf,
Firefox, and Brave, and, yes, it does seem that each answer is different across each browser based on my limited testing so far (actually, one
time, it was the same answer in two browsers, but the third was a different answer). It would be nice to have a functioning FOURTH broswer,
namely Ladybird, which I also wanted to watch the progress of anyways, to be able to get FOUR games of it per day. But, as it is, we've got
trouble, so no Ladybird for now.

7: On the subject of #3, this whole page is slop.

8: Thanks to my whining and complaining on here, it seems that, as of today, 30 March 2026, the ladybird-git AUR package has been fixed! It
compiled without any problems on my venerable and esteemed first generation i5. Therefore, you can safely disregard #5 if you are reading
this in the future. I am incredibly thankful that it has been fixed.

9: I am so happy that the ladybird-git AUR package is in good working order now. This is just my ignorance speaking, but the fact that a
bash script can oversee/make-it-possible the compilation of a whole web browser, and what's more, that huge programs like that CAN compile
without errors to begin with, is simply amazing. I don't mean something along the lines of, "Oh, this is such a great technology to be
more productive with!" No, the general mood of what I am saying is, is more of a brainlet: "Computer do something big and amazing. Me shocked."

10: As a quick update #5 and #9, I realized sometime before I wrote #9 that the binary is "Ladybird" and NOT "ladybird", which was what
I was typing. Therefore, it is likely that it did NOT actually vanish from my system. Again, I am a brainlet, so this level of stupidity
is expected from me.

11: I am not a programmer, but I have set up DistCC to compile, among other things, Ladybird. My gosh, is DistCC such a wonderful piece of
software! I can put my hoard of eWaste to use, and at the same time generate heat!
