# 2026.08.18 / Tuesday
It's a rainy day, after a long period of real draught and insufferable heat.
It could stay that way for the rest of this bloody summer.
I kind of miss the time when we had "warm wet season" and "cold wet season".
But it's lovely cool now, I can't complain.

Last few days were quite productive in the "hobby/smolnet" department:
- I'm pretty pleased with the stability and flexibility of my browsing
contraption (a Python script driving Wily editor through RPC calls, with some
intricately handcrufted logic for fetching, massaging and displaying the
contents of various little protocols we have in this leg of the woods)
- Figuring out the way this site works is also fun. I must admit -- it's pretty
intuitive, and instructions in the manual are quite straightforward. I saw
commercial sites with less user-friendly documentation.
- Also the way the very basic "API" works here is really refreshing -- no BS,
technology that can be described on the proverbial beer coaster.
